The barge “Sojourn” departed from the Lyons Drydock on Thursday afternoon, entered the Erie Canal, and headed for its new home in the NYC Harbor. The barge, 126 x 18, was built in 1963 and used as a coal barge in France. later converted to a Hotel Barge for fine dining, and eventually made its way to the USA. The recently retrofitted barge will be used as headquarters for its new owner, a young hi-tech entrepreneur from the State of Washington.
